FAQs and Media

How much weight have you lost?
138 pounds

How did you lose the weight?
Weight Watchers and tracking calories/macronutrients

Have you had surgery?
No. I haven’t had weight loss surgery or skin removal surgery of any kind.

What do you do for exercise?
I wish I was a hardcore gym champ… I’m not (yet?) I walk some, swim some, do some squats, knee push ups and some free weights for my arms. I enjoy group exercise like Zumba and kickboxing but I don’t attend consistently. Fitness is my next great challenge!

Do you coach?
YES! 90% of this journey is our head game, and sometimes we need help with that. There is no shame in needing help. I would not have succeeded without employing a support system.
Please see the Coaching section of my website for more information.

How did you stay motivated?
I identified my Why(s) and held onto it throughout my journey. I recognized that I would need to focus on what I wanted MOST instead of what I wanted in the MOMENT- long term happiness instead of instant gratification. I set small, attainable goals and worked to achieve them one by one. Losing 138 pounds felt impossible, but I knew I could lose 5 pounds or 10 pounds. So I set a goal of getting below 300. Once I did that, I set another small goal. Once I achieved that, I set another. Now my goals are fitness related instead of weight related, but the concept remains the same. Realistic, attainable goals that build confidence and set me up for success. I also choose small rewards for myself to earn along the way. A new shirt, a manicure, a new nail polish, etc.

What are your favorite Go-To meals?
My favorite grab-and-go lunch is a Southwest style salad with grilled chicken and Bolthouse Farms Salsa Ranch dressing. McDonald’s and Chick-Fil-A both have good ones. I also love a salad bowl from Chipotle and I ALWAYS get the guac! I’ll spend my points/calories on healthy fats any day! I also love a good turkey and avocado wrap. I use Joseph’s lavash (1/2 lavash is just 60 calories and 1 smartpoint! Non-gmo and loaded with omegas. Total win!) I make flatbread pizzas with the Joseph’s lavash too. You can get them at several grocery stores or on Amazon.

My dinners are usually really simple. Lean protein and a green vegetable. Chicken, salmon, shrimp, turkey, lean beef. One of my favorite dinners is fish tacos. I use a cajun spice rub on white fish like cod. I use Mission brand extra thin corn tortillas which are 1 sp a piece. I make a homemade mango salsa (mango, red onion, cilantro, jalapeno) and honey-lime slaw to top the tacos with. Don’t ask for a recipe! Like everything in my life including my eyeliner, I just wing it! I make it different every time, keeping it around 1sp for the slaw dressing. Squeeze of lime, lil honey, the end. My tacos come out about 2sp a piece for the tortilla and the slaw.

Are your eyebrows microbladed? (yes, I get this question ALL the time!)
Nope. I use the BrowZings eyebrow kit by Benefit in shade #4

Can you do a make-up tutorial?
Maybe someday!
